당신은 내게서 늦가을을 보리다

노란잎 전부 지거나 몇잎 남지않아

나뭇가지 삭풍에 떨고

노래하던 예쁜 새들 떠나 폐허가 된 성가대

당신은 내게서 그런 날의 황혼을 보리다

해는 서쪽으로 지고

검은 밤은 황혼마저 삼켜

죽음의 두번째 자아가 모든 것을 안식에 들게 하는 밤

당신은 내게서 꺼져가는 불의 마지막 빛을 보리다

연료를 다 소진해버리고

침대에 누워 꺼지기만을 기다리는

재가 되버린 젊음

당신은 보리다, 그리고 그것이 당신의 사랑을 더 강하게 하리다

머지않아 떠나야만 하는 것을 사랑해야 하기에

That time of year thou mayst in me behold

When yellow leaves, or none, or few, do hang

Upon those boughs which shake against the cold,

Bare ruined choirs, where late the sweet birds sang.

In me thou seest the twilight of such day

As after sunset fadeth in the west,

Which by and by black night doth take away,

Death’s second self, that seals up all in rest.

In me thou seest the glowing of such fire

That on the ashes of his youth doth lie,

As the deathbed whereon it must expire

Consumed with that which it was nourished by.

  This thou perceiv’st, which makes thy love more strong,

  To love that well which thou must leave ere long.
